Video games have been an extremely large part of my life ever since I was young. I grew up in front of the family computer, fascinated by how it works and the games that I could play on it. A lot of my earliest memories are watching my older brother play games on that computer. My favorite game when I was a kid was MapleStory, it's the game that inspired me to learn more about making video games! As I got more interested in the programming aspect of making games, I decided to pursue a career in software engineering, after all, that's the safe thing to do. I worked at a couple startups and an evil large mega corperation, but there was always a desire to go back to the thing that inspired me in the first place, video games. My favorite game now is Counter Strike, and being a fan of it has taken me around the world. Video games are something so unique in that way, allowing me to travel and meet people I would have never thought of.

I was lucky enough to have grown up with a very cool gamer as a father. Being born in '98 with access to some peak releases in my childhood, my dad introduced me to video videogames as soon as he could; we played PC and PS1 games, both singleplayer (by taking turns) and multiplayer. I grew up obsessed with Harvest Moon and its spin-offs. I would print out game guides on the family printer and take notes as I played. My love for videogames only grew stronger as I got older, making choose-your-own-adventure games in Notepad and burning them on CDs. My dad taught me to build a website in Dreamweaver, where I hosted minigames for my friends to compete in. As I got older, I made content about games on YouTube and then eventually tiktok as well as streaming on twitch! Games have always been such an important part of my life and relationships. My dad is one of my best friends and we have built such a beatiful bond over this shared hobby. Some of my best memories are of playing games with people. Videogames unite people who are different and bring others together.
